About me
I was born in Bucharest, Romania at a time when the country was still under communist rule. As such, I lived the first years of my life in a world of poverty, austerity and general paranoia. But even during such hard times, my love for art in general and acting in particular was able to blossom. As a child, I would be in every kindergarten and school play, and even organize little shows with my friends for my family and neighbors.
In my adult years, I first rose to fame through my music. I was signed to Sony Music Romania and released an album called "Incalca Regulile Jocului" (which means "Break The Rules Of The Game"). My record produced two hit singles - "Ea Nu Vrea Decat Banii" ("All She Wants Is The Money") and "Oriunde" ("Wherever"). My music videos, though believed to be somewhat controversial, were on constant rotation on MTV Romania, and soon offers for TV and film work followed.
I starred as Jeremy in the cult horror favorite "Return of the Living Dead 5: Rave to the Grave", as Leon in "Catacombs", where I acted alongside Shannyn Sossamon and the legendary Pink, and in Lifetime Movie Network's "Layover" where I played Brad, Lauren Holly’s assistant. I’ve also co-hosted the Romanian version of "I'd Do Anything" - a cross between Extreme Home Makeover and Fear Factor.
More recently, I shot the third installment of the "Pitch Perfect" franchise directed by Trish Sie, playing Henri, and also shot a part in "Pretenders", under the direction of jack-of-all-trades actor James Franco. As a writer, I’ve written a few screenplays, including a thriller titled "Survive" and a pilot based on the works of H.P. Lovecraft.
Over the years, I’ve studied acting at the prestigious Lee Strasberg Theater and Film Institute, where the likes of Robert De Niro, Christoph Waltz and Angelina Jolie have honed their craft as well. I also studied at the equally well-known Ivana Chubbuck Studio, which counts Charlize Theron, Halle Berry and Brad Pitt as alumni.
I live in sunny Los Angeles (where sometimes I really hope for a rainy day) and when I’m not writing or acting, I love nothing more than to curl up in a cafe with a good book (my favorites are historical and fantasy novels) or to get together with my friends and play board games for eight hours straight.
There's nothing like that moment when you hear "Action!" and you become someone else... It's when I truly feel alive.
